Read Book ☻ Wednesday's Child ♣

Good mystery/suspense but lukewarm on romance. Good read overall I really enjoyed this book....definitely kept me guessing and on the edge of my bed the whole time. The ending was a bit more confused and complicated than it needed to be by bringing in loosely mentioned characters to play a key role at the very end of the book. Still a recommended read for anyone who enjoys a mystery/thriller with a bit of romance. In Wednesday's Child, Susan Chandler's husband disappears with their one year old daughter. Now seven years later, her husband's body is found in a river but no sign of her daughter. Jeb Bedford joins Susan in helping her get the answers she needs. Sort of far fetched about what happens to the girl but otherwise I thought it was a good read. Typical romance/mystery novel. Too much filler, a couple that falls in love quickly for no reason, etc. starts off good. gets slow then it picks up and you want to find out what happened. when you find out who and why then it gets drawn out and you just want it to be done. It was an okay bookI had to force myself to read it to get through itI kept falling asleep as I read it, its a wonder I made it through the book. That's why I'm only giving it two stars. Great book, unexpected turn of events with the child, but made the book even better! Well written mystery/romance story. Having read through 2 previous books by this author, I think her strength lies in suspense mystery storylines. She does these quite well and the result is unpredictable twists and turns throughout the read that ensure you are kept captivated to the story. The not so strong part of the plot is the romance. In this book, it just didn't seem to flow credibly for me. I think mainly because I didn't feel the connection between the H/h. Nevertheless, If you are into romance suspense that is more suspense than romance, then this will definitely do it.
